Although a genetic issue resulted in hearing issues for the past 40 years, it wasn't until he came to Cook Hearing & Balance that he understood the hearing process as well as the impact his hearing loss was having on family and friends.

Carol had a bad experience with an audiologist years ago who incorrectly determined that despite hearing loss, she was not a candidate for hearing aids. As her hearing continued to decline, she began to withdraw from family interactions and even found her safety jeopardized because she could not hear things like a car approaching. Carol decided it was time to try again to find a hearing solution. She did some research, came to Cook Hearing & Balance and accomplished just that.

Joe has worn hearing aids his entire adult life and although he kept up with technological advances, in 2009 he found his sales job negatively impacted by his missing out on details shared in meetings. He met with Dr. Cook who provided a thorough exam with a proper recommendation for hearing aids that greatly improved his hearing.

Gary noticed that he was not hearing as well as he once did and was missing out on conversations with family and clients – particularly when in a noisy restaurant setting. When he learned that he was about to be a grandpa for the first time, he decided he wanted to hear well.
