Hearing Aid Specialist Lori Cook has been helping residents of Cedar Park experience the joys of hearing again for more than 12 years. Lori earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas. Her education and her background in social work provides Lori with a deep level of empathy for her clients, as well as for her community.
Lori’s committed to helping her clients get more out of life by reconnecting with their loved ones — as well as friends and work colleagues — through helping them reclaim their hearing. But she’s also committed to helping the community as a whole, too; when Lori’s not working with her clients at Cook Hearing & Balance, she’s taking her expertise and compassion out into the community, performing free hearing tests, doing hearing aid fittings, volunteering at the hospital’s senior circle, and working with the Sertoma Club to meet the needs of the community through service projects.
Lori’s dedication to providing hearing services to all that need them is at the forefront. For the past 8 years, she’s facilitated Cook Hearing & Balance’s partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. She’s an active member of the International Hearing Society and has served as the Treasurer for the Texas Hearing Aid Association since 2013.
In her free time, Lori loves to learn new cooking techniques and recipes at cooking classes, and she enjoys making jewelry. Lori also loves to hike and spends her vacations exploring the country’s beautiful national parks.
Above all, Lori wants to ensure that everyone in the community has access to the resources they need to enjoy hearing and live life to the fullest. She loves making people’s lives better and wants her clients to know that they don’t need to worry about anything to do with their hearing — that’s her job!
