
Dr. Candace Johnson
Audiologist
Dr. Johnson received her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from The University of Texas at Austin. Her undergraduate studies were at Texas State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders. While attending Texas State, she also created a hearing conservation program for the Bobcat Marching Band.
Dr. Johnson has a comprehensive audiological background. Her externship was at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Little Rock, AR, where she provided hearing and balance diagnostic testing and hearing loss treatment for our nation's veterans. While in school, she had clinical rotations in private practice and ENT settings. She has a special interest in aural rehabilitation, counseling, tinnitus, and hearing conservation. Her primary focus is to provide the best care to every patient.
In her personal life, Dr. Johnson enjoys rock climbing, playing piano, and spending time with loved ones. She is originally from Grand Forks, ND, but is happy to be staying here in Texas and to be a part of the Cook Hearing family!
